Four prominent American automakers—Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram—have announced a partnership honoring the nation's 250th anniversary. The automakers will join America250, an organization directed by Congress to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The four automakers are the sole automakers sponsoring the commemoration, but many corporations will also support the initiative.

Ram exited from NASCAR truck competitions in 2016, which was a tragedy for racing fans. After having been the founding manufacturers of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Dodge Ram brand trucks had a colorful legacy until 2016. When Ram was still a part of Dodge, Bobby Hamilton ruled the tracks, taking the 2004 Truck Series Championship. In 2010, Ram became a standalone brand and competed in NASCAR truck races for another six years, only to disappear completely. In 2026, Ram returns with a mission.

Recently, it was announced that the new Ram 1200 truck will be added to the new U.S. Lineup of vehicles. It's likely that the reason for this announcement is partly to compete with the Ford Maverick, which is another small pickup. Other brands are also getting into the small pickup game as well, so it's not surprising that Ram will be doing the same thing.
