Ram exited from NASCAR truck competitions in 2016, which was a tragedy for racing fans. After having been the founding manufacturers of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Dodge Ram brand trucks had a colorful legacy until 2016. When Ram was still a part of Dodge, Bobby Hamilton ruled the tracks, taking the 2004 Truck Series Championship. In 2010, Ram became a standalone brand and competed in NASCAR truck races for another six years, only to disappear completely. In 2026, Ram returns with a mission.
Ram to Race in 2026 NASCAR Truck Series
Ram hasn't released much information about its return to the NASCAR truck series, but a gallery of photos shows the promise of this new Ram team of trucks. So far, they've demonstrated their latest competition truck, which has a 112-inch wheelbase and a length of 206.5 inches. Pictures showcase a low-sitting Ram truck with the number 25 printed on the side in deep white. The Craftsman name spans across the upper windshield of the truck, but the driver's seat is so far empty.
Over the next year, Dodge will select a team of drivers to compete in NASCAR truck races and bring glory back to the Ram truck name. For now, those driver's spaces are blanked out on the Ram Trucks website. Racing fans can keep up with the latest announcements about Ram's return to NASCAR racing by checking our website often.
Like all good things in the future, companies often like to keep their information top secret and then reveal it a little at a time, but that doesn't mean you can't already check out what Ram's new fleet is going to look like. More pictures and announcements will be released in the months to come, letting racing fans know just how serious Ram is about competing in NASCAR trucking events soon.
It has been about a decade since Ram raced in a NASCAR event, but from the looks of it, they're not rusty at all. The Ram team is currently assembling some of the greatest drivers in the world to take over the track in 2026.
