About Dodge Reviews From Airpark Dodge Chrysler Jeep

The 2016 Dodge Challenger returns to the Phoenix area relatively unchanged this year. The high-speed two-door coupe, which has become known for being a force to be reckoned with on the track, has returned with its exquisite lineup of trims and variations, including the V6-powred SXT, V8-powred R/T and R/T Shaker, to name a few. The SRT Hellcat also returns to the roster for 2016 and continues to be the most high-powered model out of the bunch, offering an insane 707 horsepower that will leave speed enthusiasts in awe. To find out more about the Hellcat and other variations of the Challenger, read our 2016 Dodge Challenger review below.

The five-passenger Dodge Challenger has always been a top model in the automaker's roster and that isn't changing for 2016. Coming into the new model year, the car gains a new Shaker hood option and a fresh paint color, Plum Crazy, but is otherwise unchanged. Some of the biggest perks of owning a 2016 Dodge Challenger in the Phoenix area are the car's huge trunk, highly advanced touchscreen interface, seating accommodations and variety of customizable options. It offers everything from ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel and Brembo brakes to performance tuning, a trip computer and an 18-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system. Additionally, safety features such as a rearview camera, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also available.

All SXT variants of the 2016 Dodge Challenger in Scottsdale are outfitted with a 3.6L V6, delivering 305 horsepower and 268 lb.-ft. of torque. The six-cylinder comes paired with an eight-speed automatic and allows the SXT to jet from 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds. A step above the SXT is the R/T Challenger, which sports a 5.7L V8 engine, generating 375 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque with the six-speed manual. However, with the eight-speed automatic, it produces 372 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The SRT and Scat Pack models get a 6.4L V8, exerting 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, while the aforementioned Hellcat gets a 6.2L V8, outputting 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. With the ability to launch from 0-60 mph in a stellar 4.1 seconds, this model is the top selection for buyers.
