2021 Jeep Gladiator

What's New For the 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

The Jeep Gladiator-a pickup truck that, like the Wrangler, can have its top removed and windshield lowered-has a new diesel-powered V6 engine option for 2021. The Gladiator is now in its second model year as it continues its maiden production cycle.

2021 Gladiator Trims & Features

The nine trim levels currently available on the 2021 Gladiator are the Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, 80th Anniversary, Rubicon, Mojave, and High Altitude. A five-seater, the Gladiator has cloth-trimmed seats. For infotainment, the pickup truck comes with an eight-speaker stereo system, two USB ports for hooking up mobile devices, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, and a 5-inch touchscreen. Upgrade to the Sport S replaces the 5-inch touchscreen with a larger, 7-inch one, and adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, remote keyless entry for more convenient access, and automatic climate control.

The 80th Anniversary edition-which commemorates the Jeep brand's eight decades of existence-upgrades the Gladiator with a navigation system, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, an HD Radio transceiver, a ninth speaker, and "80th Anniversary" badges. The rock-crawling Rubicon stands out with equipment such as large all-terrain tires, off-road shock absorbers, rock rails, hood vents, black fenders, and "Rubicon" decals. Notably, the Mojave has a higher-riding suspension and trim-specific hood decals. Proximity keyless entry and leather seat trim are exclusive to the High Altitude, in addition to the gains of the 80th Anniversary model.

2021 Jeep Gladiator Horsepower

Typically, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator is powered by the famed Pentastar, a 3.6-liter V6 with an output of 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, pinned to a six-speed manual transmission for shifting thrills. However, there is the choice of the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, which provides an output of 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. In addition, there's the option of an eight-speed automatic gearbox for more convenient shifting. Four-wheel drive is standard for handling the most treacherous of trails. The all-terrain-optimized Rubicon gets the Rock-Trac system with locking front and rear axles and an electronic sway bar disconnect, while the other trim levels get the Command-Trac system. The Gladiator can tow up to 7,650 lbs.

Jeep Gladiator Safety

A rearview camera provides guidance during parking maneuvers, and six airbags offer protection if a crash occurs. More robust driver assistance is exclusive to the High Altitude-with blind-spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.
