What's New for the 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Choosing the Challenger GT will mean getting steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a performance suspension, and a functional hood scoop.

For the Challenger R/T, Dodge adds an active performance exhaust system. The next option is the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, which has exciting upgrades such as configurable drive modes, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a premium sound system. How Much Horsepower Does the 2023 Challenger Have?

The Challenger has many available powertrains to consider. For the standard setup, the Dodge goes with a 3.6L V6 that makes 303 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The R/T trim level gives drivers a 5.7L V8 with an output of up to 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available with either an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

The R/T Scat Pack is even more powerful, giving drivers a 6.4L V8. It creates 485 horsepower along with 475 lb-ft of torque. Select models are equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that can make up to 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque in select models.
