2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman® vs 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten Trim Levels

The latest Ram 1500 roars in at up to 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. To get this kind of capability standard, though, you've got to start with the most fully loaded Ram 1500: the Tungsten trim. Many customers won't need that much power or luxury. For customers who want just the basics with few frills, the Tradesman® trim is best. These trims are night and day in most areas, but still offer the same traditional Ram 1500 build.

Performance

The Tradesman® is the base model Ram 1500 and comes with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine rated at 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. You can also pick up a 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbocharged engine rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. A Tungsten revs up the fun even more and comes with a standard high-output 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbocharged engine rated at 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque.

Appearance

The highly capable Tungsten is maxed out on the exterior as well. Its full LED bifunctional projector headlamps have adaptive front lighting, a set of power running boards make for easy boarding, and the trim's bodyside molding is exclusive to just the Tungsten. Tradesman® designs focus more on the utility of the Ram 1500 and making sure you get the big, bold high grille that the model is known for. It won't be as "fancy" as the Tungsten, but it has plenty of exterior design qualities that make it a truck for all truck lovers.

Features

The Tradesman® and Tungsten differ most in their interior design. Tradesman® models get a basic 7-inch driver information digital cluster display, a Uconnect 5 8.4-inch touchscreen, and industrious features like in-floor storage. With a Tungsten, you'll get the works: a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, heated and ventilated reclining rear seats, and premium leather front bucket seats with a massage function. For hard workers who want weekend fun, a Tradesman® can be just as appealing as a Tungsten, but nothing beats the Tungsten if you're looking for cutting-edge pickup truck luxury. It's fully loaded, powerful, and full of the most engaging and useful entertainment and tech of our time.
