Specs at a Glance

Ram trucks are known for their ruggedness and reliability. The Ram 1500 is a competent truck when it comes to hauling and towing. It also offers excellent steering dynamics and a smooth ride. Among the many trim levels, the Limited and Rebel stand near the top of the pack. Both trim packages have a lot to offer, with a few key differences between them.

Performance

Both Trims Offer Excellent Performance

When it comes to the Limited and Rebel trim packages, both models offer excellent performance. Both come stock with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission system. Both can haul a payload of 1,770 pounds. They have a maximum towing capacity of 11,340 pounds when properly equipped.

The Limited and Rebel both offer available 4X4 configurations. This makes both models capable of off-road performers. For even more power and torque, Ram offers a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 version of both trim packages.

Cosmetic and Exterior Features

The Ram 1500 Limited comes equipped with a set of 20-inch X 9-inch polished wheels with inserts. The Rebel comes sporting a set of 18-inch X 8-inch wheels that are painted black. The exterior designs are not too different. The Limited and Rebel badges are there to set them apart. The Rebel models feature a sports performance hood. The Limited models offer auto-dimming exterior mirrors.

The Rebel was designed with off-road performance in mind. Both are quite capable over off-road terrain, but the Rebel offers a little extra in this category. Ram's off-road package is standard on Rebel models. This package includes extra heavy-duty shock absorbers in the back and up front. Skids plates, off-road decals and a locking rear axle round out some of the more notable features here.

Key Features and Differences

When it comes to key differences in their features, the Limited gets an optional Advanced safety Group Package. This includes some driver-assist systems and additional safety features. Lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control are included. Drivers will also get a front-collision detection system that works at full speed. A park-assist system works for both parallel and perpendicular parking.

The Rebel model comes with Ram's Uconnect 3 audio and infotainment system. This system offers a 5-inch display screen. Both trims offer excellent sound systems and a number of connectivity options for smart devices. The Limited model comes equipped with a large 12-inch display screen and also adds on a full navigation system. Both trucks offer comfortable seats, while the Limited adds on premium-leather trim for the upholstery.

Pickup truck fans selecting between the Limited and Rebel would never be disappointed with either choice. Both trims offer great performance. They also provide plenty of nice features.
