What's New For the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica/Hybrid?

The Chrysler Pacifica is a leading minivan that is currently ranked 2nd for its class. In 2020, the vehicle will have some fundamental changes that will enhance its quality. One of the main changes will be a reduction of trim levels to four options. Some optional features will become standard on all trim levels, as well. Some minor cosmetic changes will be made to the interior, and a Red S Appearance package will be introduced. This year's version is part of the first generation, which was introduced in the year 2017.

The Pacifica Has Many Features Across Several Trims

For the 2020 model year, the Chrysler Pacifica will have four trim levels. These will include the Touring, the Touring L, Touring L Plus, and the Limited. While the Pacifica Hybrid only offers three trim levels - Touring, Touring L and Limited - it still provides many of the standard and optional features available on the non-hybrid Pacifica.

The Touring is the base model, which will consist of 17-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, fog lights, remote engine start, tri-zone automatic climate control, and heated mirrors. It also includes a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay. Opting for the Hybrid version will upgrade the display to an 8.4-inch touchscreen instead.

The Touring L is the second trim level, which includes additional features such as heated front seats, leather seating, window shades, driver-seat memory functions, and a leather steering wheel.

Its next trim level is the Touring L Plus, which will provide upgrades to the center console. This trim will also feature power-adjustable front seats, a WiFi hotspot, a 13 speaker audio system, USB ports, and heated second-row seats. There is a 115-volt power outlet as well.

The top trim level of the Pacifica is the Limited trim, which includes 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights and xenon headlights. There is also auto-dimming on the driver side mirror and hands-free power sliding doors. The Limited also includes power-folding third-row seats, leather upholstery, and more USB ports for MP3 playability.

When it comes to the total horsepower for the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica, the vehicle has the same amount for each trim level. The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica pushes out 287 horsepower with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. With this amount of horsepower, consumers will be able to move this vehicle quickly down roads. This engine is also paired with a nine-speed automatic for a consistently smooth drive. Selecting the Pacifica hybrid offers the same 3.6-liter V6 engine combined with two electric motors for added electric miles.

Which Safety Features Are Available on the Pacifica?

There are many safety features that are provided by the Chrysler Pacifica. One of the systems of safety features that it offers is Front/Rear Park Assist with Stop. This feature helps alert a driver whenever an object is in front of the vehicle. Once an object is detected, the brakes will be applied whenever necessary. A Surround View Camera has a 360-degree top-down view that assists drivers with parking the vehicle.

Blind Spot Monitoring informs a driver whenever any car is in or approaching the blind spot. It identifies vehicles that are in the way of the Pacifica whenever it is backing out of an area. Along with these systems, the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica also offers other standard safety features such as airbags, a backup camera, and an anti-theft system.
