Sammie is a nine-year-old neutered boy who was surrendered to AZPYRS Rescue due to a death in the family. There were no relatives that could take responsibility for this rather large - 150 pound - bundle of serenity and joy.
Sweet Sammie is completely housebroken, has no need to be in a crate or kennel, loves children of all ages and enjoys going for car rides and walks. He gets along very nicely with cats and birds. His favorite past time, however, is laying on a sofa watching television.
As Sam is now getting “up in years,” he would prefer a quiet and sedate household with respectful children. An older canine companion would also be wonderful. Sammie is definitely an indoor dog. He has no medical problems that we currently know of; he is just slowing down a bit. As Great Pyrenees can live to around 14, Sammie has plenty of time to “stop and smell the roses.”
We are already perfectly in love with our Sammie and we know that he would be a wonderful addition to any Phoenix-area household. Please contact AZPYRS here to find out more about our sweet Sammie and to learn how you can take him home today!
