Everyone at AZPyrs would like to wish all of our friends and neighbors a wonderful holiday season. We had a great year of adoptions, with many wonderful pups finding forever homes with some truly loving people.
During this time, we would like to remind everyone that AZPyrs does not adopt out pets between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. This can be confusing to potential adopters, so we wanted to let you know why we would like you to wait until the New Year to bring home your new furry family member.
In a nutshell, we sincerely feel that animals should not be given as presents, as it undermines the very big commitment that comes with bringing a new pet into your home. Along with that, the increased hustle-and-bustle of the season (parties, shopping, family and friends visiting, kids out of school, etc.) can cause new dogs to get overlooked and confused.
