Meet Puppy! This darling dog was found with five struggling siblings in Casa Grande. Mom, a Great Pyrenees, was doing her best to care for them before local animal control stepped in and assisted. Two of Puppy’s siblings were successfully adopted (one along with Mom), but, unfortunately, two passed away due to medical complications. AZPyrs is now trying to find a home for our little Puppy.
Originally named Sawyer, Puppy was adopted out with his brother, however, the two dogs didn’t get along well with each other. Two rambunctious pups were also just too much for the adopter, and Sawyer (who doesn't know his name yet!) came back to AZPyrs looking for a new home!
Puppy is now being fostered with an older Great Pyrenees, who is doing a great job of teaching the little guy about being the best pup he can be. So far Puppy has learned pack placement, manners and crate training, and is well on his way to being totally housebroken.
Before he is sent home with a new forever family, Puppy will be neutered, microchipped and brought up on all applicable vaccinations. Right now, we are pretty sure that Puppy is a Pyrenees mix, but we’re not sure what kind of dog his father was. Whatever he was, little Puppy is certainly a big bundle of adorable.
