Our Lily is a respectful and confident female Great Pyrenees. She is loyal and reserved, yet protective of her property and people.

Lily was sent to Rescue, because her family was expecting a new baby and they did not have time for her. She also displayed quite a few allergies, which her family found off-putting. Her ex-owners had her fully tested for allergies, but did not stay-the-course in assisting Lily. She tested positive for the usual (trees, grass, etc.), but also tested high for food allergies (wheat, flour, corn, etc.). However, her owners continued to feed her processed kibble.

When Lilly first arrived to AZPyrs, the first thing we did was switch her to a grain-free raw diet. We have not seen Lily scratch her body or ears since that remarkable day!

Seven years young, Lily just celebrated her birthday on Easter Sunday. If you think a seven-year-old Pyrenees is "old," think again! Lily enjoys being bathed and gets quite frisky after her bath. She races around the yard like a six-month-old pup! She also likes playing in the flood irrigation and going for leisurely walks in the neighborhood.

While Lily enjoys her "people time," she is respectful and does not get pushy. She's very happy lying on her bed watching the world go by - until something needs "Pyr-Protecting." Lily is a great watch dog and has an impressive bark!

Lil gets along with most other dogs and likes kids, but it is unknown how she feels about cats. She comes when called, sits, lays down, and is leash, kennel and crate trained. She also rides in a car wonderfully, is current on shots, and is spayed and microchipped. She does not challenge fences and is housebroken.

Looking for a companion that doesn't require much, but a bit of your love? Our Lily might just be the gal for you!
