Automotive Sales Position

The purpose of this position is to sell new and/or used vehicles. You will need to utilize strong customer service skills combined with the 12 Steps to Successful Selling Classes which are paid for by the dealership.

Some of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities are:

  • Promptly greet customers in a courteous and friendly manner and determine specifics of vehicle desired.
  • Build rapport and common ground with customers.
  • Be committed to guaranteeing satisfaction to all customers, realizing that business is built on customer satisfaction.
  • Be pro-active in learning all products to guarantee your success in providing a world-renowned product presentation and demonstration.
  • Be aware of the competition's products and marketing strategies. Work every deal using the 12 Steps to Successful Selling. Develop negotiating skills required to close a sales transaction to make reasonable profit.
  • Prospect for clients by telephone, e-mail, customer referrals, friends, or personal contacts
  • Introduce customers to the Service Department and emphasize the quality and availability of services or repairs available to properly maintain their vehicle.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat business and make the owner conscious of the salesperson to encourage leads and prospects.
  • Create and establish personal sales and career advancement goals with the help of the sales management team


Requirements for these positions: Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screening and background check Able to work evening and weekends and varying shifts Basic computer skills helpful.



Internet Sales Director


JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for staffing and supervising a team of internet salespeople to the selling of new and pre-owned vehicles. The ISD will also assist the G.S.M. in planning, organizing, controlling, and measuring the salespersons activity and productivity within the Internet Sales Department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Working together with fellow employees to reach dealership goals.
  • Recruiting salespeople on a continuous basis.
  • Working closely with the dealership recruiter to establish a workable succession and hiring plan.
  • Maintain at least a 90% staffing level at all times.
  • Train, supervise, motivate, resolve conflicts, and build teams of salespeople to enhance the sales of new and pre-owned vehicles.
  • Follow up, teach and coach each salesperson on the usage of the AIG 12 step sales process.
  • Set monthly sales objectives for your salespeople.
  • Generate income
  • Work with salespeople to maximize the front and F/I gross profit on every car deal and maintain F/I income at acceptable levels.
  • Follow up and enforce all dealership policies and procedures as they relate to proper employee conduct.
  • Evaluate daily the sales performance of each assigned internet salesperson.
  • Assist and follow up with internet salespeople in the development and execution of their daily work plans.
  • Ensure that the sales staff follows the proper logging procedure on each and every customer.
  • Assist in developing training programs to help the internet salespeople who are falling short of their sales objectives.
  • Work closely with the G.S.M to determine the disciplinary action for salespeople who consistently fall short of their sales goals and objectives.
  • Conduct daily team meetings include motivational and sales training topics.
  • Work closely with the internet salespeople to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Monitor and follow up with salespeople when CSI scores are not in the Green
  • Search for solutions to problems
  • Make sure that your decisions are good for the Dealership
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is obtained and is correct with each deal
  • Ensure that deals are in accounting in a timely manner
  • Maintain and promote an enthusiastic work environment
  • Establish a monthly schedule for your department
  • Work closely with salespeople to enhance their success in setting appointments, the use of Dealer Socket to follow up on referrals and not sold customers
  • Product knowledge (ensure that everyone in your department know their products.)

Other Duties Include:

  • Work closely with all departments to enhance the growth and development of the overall sales staff.
  • Use the ISD Owner's Manual to track and determine if salespeople are exceeding, meeting or failing to meet their goals.
  • Attend quarterly ISD training sessions scheduled by corporate
  • All other duties that may be assigned
  • Check Finance Log each morning to verify that yesterdays deals were reported into the Business Office
  • Fill out the front end, finance profit report including total sold and red and turn into G.S.M.
  • Complete all TO DO's in Dealer Socket including phone and email responses
  • Print the Appointment Reports for the day/weekend
  • Bill deals and verify the front and back gross
  • Organize and pay bills due to all venders
  • Check CIT list and make sure every deal is billed by the 10 days
  • Manage the inventory on the website, checking the pricing and verifying inventory
  • Make sure all deals are in ADP
  • Verify service work/we-owes are being pushed and completed in a timely manner (3 day rule)
  • View a copy of the DOC to verify how many deals are finalized and red from Brigantine
  • Attend meetings, planning groups and training
  • Work closely with the staff to help close deals and keep track of all customers
  • Verify all leads are being taken by pulling sales tracking reports and keeping the staff accountable
  • Work closely with the Business Office to ensure that you and your staff have a general knowledge of all products and how to make profit.

Internet Sales Associates

JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Internet Sales Associate is to respond effectively to all internet-sourced vehicle inquires that come to the dealership via email or incoming calls. The goal of the Internet Sales Associate is to response, set an appointment, meet and sell, all while maintaining excellent customer service and optimizing profit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell new and used vehicles to Internet sourced customers.
  • Initiate customer contact with at least 80% of unique leads received, using personalized emails.
  • Meet with all Internet appointments personally and close 80% of those appointments.
  • Actively pursue short term and long-term email/phone follow-up with customers that have not purchased.
  • Become an expert at reporting and tracking your efforts utilizing Dealer Socket (Customer Retention Management tool)

F&I Managers

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Process customers with their final purchase or lease transaction documents.
  • Present and sell additional financial products such as GAP, Extended warranties and other insurance products made available to the customer through the dealership.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is obtained and is correct with each deal.
  • Deals must be processed to accounting dept. in a timely manner.
  • Spend time at desk for finance input and assisting in closing deals.
  • Exercise the VT way of doing business. (i.e., graphs, charts and waivers)
  • Must adhere to the V.T. Package Sell presentation
  • Must read, understand and sign off on the V.T. Compliance & Ethics letters.

Automotive Lot Attendant Job Profile

  • This is an hourly paid position and pay is based on current scale. You'll be responsible for vehicle preparation to ensure vehicle is ready for customer pick-up. Drive and park vehicles on-lot as needed. Check vehicle status. Clean the exterior of vehicle (Debug and wash). Perform related tasks as directed by managers. Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Meet and greet customers on the service drive and offer assistance if needed. Must be able to drive a truck or vehicle with a manual transmission. Must have a clean driving record and possess a valid US driver's license.
